Related to Quarantines
Every Long-term Occasional Teacher is entitled to salary, despite absence from duty in any case where, because of exposure to a communicable disease, the Occasional Teacher is quarantined or otherwise prevented by the order of the medical health authorities from performing his or her duties. The days shall not be deducted from sick leave credits.
Quarantine leave without loss of pay shall be granted to a Long Term Occasional Teacher for a period of quarantine when declared by the Medical Officer of Health or designate.
We do not Cover an illness, treatment or medical condition due to war, declared or undeclared.
1. No employee may be required to make up cash register shortages unless he is given the privilege of checking the change and daily receipts upon starting and completing the work shift and unless the employee has exclusive access to the cash register during the work shift, except as specified below.
During weather unsuitable for the proper execution of the Work in a first-class manner, all Work affected by such condition shall be properly protected from weather-related damage.
4:1 Employees who report for work on a workday or for prearranged work on a workday and are unable to work in the field because of inclement weather, heat or other causes, shall be paid for actual time worked, if any, but not less than two (2) hours at straight-time rates. Employees receiving subsistence as provided for in Section 5:2 shall continue to receive subsistence in addition to the amount provided for under this Section.
Vandalism of UNIT and/or PROPERTY (with reference to both the room, UNIT, and all common areas) will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate minimum fine of $100 in addition to the costs of repair to the vandalized property being passed on to TENANT.
Act of God
Landlord shall not be required to perform any covenant or obligation in this Lease, or be liable in damages to Tenant, so long as the performance or non-performance of the covenant or obligation is delayed, caused or prevented by an act of God, force majeure or by Tenant.
a) This policy will be made available to all employees either in their Union contract or employee handbook. In addition, it will be posted on all appropriate bulletin boards.
Should tenants lock themselves out of their dwelling and be unable to gain access through their own resources, they may call upon professional locksmith or the Owners to let them in. In either case, they are responsible for payment of the charges and/or damages involved. Owners charge a fee of $15 for providing this service between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, excepting holidays, and a fee of $25 for all other times. This fee is due and payable when the service is provided.
