Riots definition

Riots means any act committed in the course of a disturbance of the public peace (where such disturbance is motivated by political reasons) by any person taking part together with others in such disturbance or any act of any lawfully constituted authority for the purpose of suppressing or minimising the consequence of such act.

The following shall amount to force majeure:- Acts of God, act of any Government, War, Sabotage, Riots, Civil commotion, Police action, Revolution, Flood, Fire, Cyclones, Earth quake and Epidemic and other similar causes over which the contractor has to control.

The term " Force Majeure" as employed herein shall mean acts of God, War, Civil Riots, Fire directly affecting the performance of the Contract, Flood and Acts and Regulations of respective government of the two parties, namely DGH and the CONTRACTOR.

Institute Cargo Clause (ICC) ‘A’ along with war & Strike Riots & Civil Commotion (SRCC) cover shall be taken.

Riots, acts of God, the public enemy, the authority of law, the existence of violence, or such possible disturbances as tending to create reasonable apprehension of danger to person or property.

If the completion of supply of Stores is delayed due to reasons of Force Majeure, such as Acts of God, Acts of Public Enemy, Acts of Government, Fires, Flood, Epidemics, Quarantine, Restrictions, Strikes, Lockouts, Civil Commotion, Riots, Freight Embargoes and Stoppage of services by Government, refusal or non-receipt of Import License for imported items, the delay in service shall be extended by a period[s] not in excess of duration of such Force Majeure.

The term “Force Majeure” as employed herein shall mean acts of God, War, Civil Riots, Fire, Flood and Acts and Regulations of respective government of the two Parties directly affecting the performance of the Contract.

Sabotage means deliberate damage, with malevolent intent, to a Category 1 or Category 2 quantity of radioactive material, a device that contains a Category 1 or Category 2 quantity of radioactive material, or the components of the security system.

Act of God means a cataclysmic phenomenon of nature, including earthquake, flood or cyclone. Rain, snow, wind, high water or any other natural phenomenon, which might reasonably have been anticipated from historical records of the general locality of the City, shall be deemed not to be acts of God;
Quarantine means an imposed restriction prohibiting movement of cervids to any location without specific written permits.
Pandemic means an Epidemic that is expected to affect an unusually large number of people or involves an extensive geographic area.
Earthquake insurance, if the Leased Property is currently, or at any time in the future, located within a major earthquake disaster area, in amount, and in such form and substance and with such limits and deductibles as are satisfactory to Landlord; and
Inclement Weather means any weather condition that delays the scheduled arrival or departure of a Common Carrier.
Terrorism means an ideologically motivated unlawful act or acts, including but not limited to the use of violence or force or threat of violence or force, committed by or on behalf of any group(s), organization(s) or government(s) for the purpose of influencing any government and/or instilling fear in the public or a section of the public.
Hijack means any unlawful seizure or exercise of control, by force or violence or threat of force or violence and with wrongful intent, of Common Carrier in which the Insured is traveling.
Washout means the carrying away of solid waste by waters of the base flood.
Labour means worker employed by the Corporation’s contractor directly or indirectly through a subcontractor or other persons or by an agent on his behalf on a payment not exceeding Rs.400/- per month and will not include supervisory staff like Overseers etc.
